Darigold, Inc., one of the leading dairy producers, has announced significant leadership changes— appointing Dana Kennedy, a seasoned HR executive with over two decades of experience, to assume the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Throughout her career, she has successfully navigated complex labor relations, spearheaded workforce development initiatives, and led strategic HR transformations.
Kennedy previously spent nearly nine years at Darigold as Senior Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations before taking on a leadership role at Albertsons Companies as Director of Labor Relations. During her previous tenure at Darigold, Kennedy was instrumental in labor relations, contract negotiations, and workforce strategy, gaining the trust of leadership, HR teams, and plant employees. Her expertise in managing complex labor environments positions her well to support Darigold's expanding workforce.
Commenting on the appointment, Allan Huttema, President and Chief Executive Officer of Darigold, stated, "We are thrilled to have Dana back at Darigold. Her experience, leadership, and deep understanding of our operations make her the perfect fit to lead our HR function as we continue to grow."
Kennedy has built a diverse career across multiple industries, including manufacturing, food production, aerospace, and advertising. Before joining Darigold in 2015, she was the Regional Director of Human Resources at Precision Castparts and held HR leadership roles at Glacier Northwest and Publicis Advertising. Additionally, she has a legal background, having worked as a Paralegal and Affirmative Action Specialist at Davis, Grimm, Payne, and Marra.
These leadership transitions come as Darigold prepares to open a new production facility in Central Washington in the coming months. Darigold processes approximately 10 billion pounds of milk annually and operates 11 production facilities across the Pacific Northwest. The addition of the Central Washington facility will further enhance the company’s ability to meet the growing demand for its diverse range of dairy products.
Kennedy’s appointment marks a significant step in Darigold’s ongoing efforts to build a robust, engaged workforce that is well-prepared to support the company’s future growth and success.
