F5, a leading multi-cloud application security and delivery company, recently announced the appointment of Lyra Schramm as its Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer (CPO) based in Seattle. In this new role, Schramm will be joining the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President and CEO, François Locoh-Donou.
Known for her forward-thinking approach as a human capital strategist, Schramm has garnered recognition for her ability to drive organizational change on a global scale. With a distinguished career spanning various sectors, including high-tech industries, growth-focused enterprises, and philanthropic organizations, Schramm has a history of aligning people strategies with business objectives.
Prior to her appointment at F5, Schramm spent 9 years at Google in various leadership capacities, notably as Vice President of Strategy & Innovation. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping Google's enterprise-wide people strategy, driving the company's transition to an AI-first approach. Additionally, she oversaw HR for the Global Advisory Functions, served as Chief of Staff to the CHRO, and crafted the people strategy for a new business line, Google Technical Services.
Her experience also includes key HR leadership positions at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Amazon, where she played instrumental roles in global expansion efforts and the growth of AWS, respectively.
In her new role at F5, Schramm will lead initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and driving growth within the organization. Leveraging her extensive experience in high-growth and philanthropic sectors, she is expected to bring a fresh perspective to cultivating a dynamic workplace culture.
