Fluor Corporation, a global engineering and construction firm, has appointed Tracey Cook as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 7, 2025. Cook, a long-time Fluor executive, steps into the role following the departure of Stacy Dillow, who is leaving the company for a new opportunity.
Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Cook has been with Fluor for 35 years. Throughout her tenure, she has held key senior leadership roles in finance, led Fluor’s former equipment subsidiary, AMECO, as president, and most recently, contributed to the company’s Human Resources function.
Fluor Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to succession planning by appointing Tracey Cook as CHRO. Chairman and CEO David E. Constable stated, "With the Board's oversight, Fluor has been following a robust succession planning process to ensure ongoing talent development, organizational stability and future success. Given Tracey's broader finance and business background, and her time spent in several senior leadership positions within the company, she is well positioned to lead Fluor's Human Resources function to support the company's growth plans. The Board and I look forward to working with Tracey and are sincerely grateful for all of Stacy's work and dedication to Fluor over her combined service of nearly 30 years."
Cook has spent over 20 years with AMECO, a Fluor business line, serving as CFO (2002–2009), regional operations executive (2009–2012), and later president (2014). Throughout her tenure, Cook also held leadership roles at Fluor, including VP of Global Operations and Executive Director of Corporate Enterprise Services. Since 2018, she has been a director at Astec Industries and joined the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce board in 2023.
Fluor’s internal promotion of its new CHRO ensures a smooth leadership transition, reinforcing the company's strong succession planning. With 35 years of diverse senior leadership experience within the organization, the new CHRO is well-equipped to drive Fluor’s HR strategy forward. This leadership change comes as Fluor reports a strong revenue performance of USD 16.3 billion in 2024.
