Interocean Group, an Indian-based ship-catering firm, has named Rueben Das as its new head of human resources. Das joins Interocean Group from RoadCast Technologies, a provider of telematics and delivery automation solutions via SaaS, where he served as the Head of Human Resources since August 2022.
Das brings over 20 years of experience in HR from various sectors including manufacturing, food and beverage, ground transportation, car rental, travel, and management consulting. Prior to joining Interocean Group, he served as the Head of Human Resources at RoadCast Technologies.
During his career, Das has made significant contributions to companies such as Jubilant Consumers, Travel Foods, CarzOnRent India, Kuoni Travel, and Salasar Techno Engineering. Notably, at Kuoni Travel Group, he served as the manager-HR, where he was responsible for implementing personnel policies and procedures, developing salary structures, and conducting training programs for employees.
Notably, Das also spearheaded the development of a new salary structure and successfully aligned it with existing employees across different divisions, including SITA Inbound, BTI Retailing, and SOTC Outbound. His responsibilities also extended to formulating comprehensive job descriptions and specifications for various roles within the organization. Additionally, Das was involved in planning and conducting training programs for employees across different divisions. He also oversaw the operations of the Kuoni Academy of Travel (KAT), operating in seven locations, including its pioneering overseas establishment in China.
At Interocean Group, Das aims to leverage his expertise in talent acquisition and management, strategic HR partnerships, performance management, employee development and retention, and compensation and benefits management to drive advancements in HR practices.
