Matthew Owenby believes in the importance of taking care of employees so they can do the same for the business and its customers. As the CHRO at Aflac Inc. for over six years, he gives guidance to the HR and the leadership, learning, and development teams. He was ranked No. 1 in the Top Corporate Leader category of the 2016 Leadership Excellence Award and was the Silver Stevie honoree of the 2016 American Business Award. A member of the Society for Human Resource Management, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University and an MBA from Mercer University.
