Walmart is opening a training center in its distribution centers. Leading the initiative, the first center opened at the 1.2-million-square facility north of Dallas in Sanger, Texas, The Dallas Morning News reported. Supervisors for Walmart go through training in leadership, safety and supply chain, the newspaper further reported. The Sanger facility has 945 employees, and 50 managers graduated on Friday.

Research from Gartner found that employees are increasingly planning to stay put due to economic uncertainty. About 53% of the surveyed employees said they planned to stay in their jobs for the quarter Q2 2019, representing a 10 % increase from the last quarter. According to research from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, military experience may work against some job candidates. The standard salary level will be raised from $455 to $684 a week under a new rule announced by the U.S Department of Labor. The rule will go into effect on January 1, 2020.
