Claire Thomas is presently incumbent at the position of the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, GlaxoSmithKline since May 2008 and also the Corporate Executive Team member. In the year 2007, she achieved the Outstanding European Woman of Achievement award. 

Earlier, she used to work as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Pharmaceuticals International where she has worked in the positions of Senior Manager of Human Resources in Sales and Marketing Group and Director- Human resources- both for the UK Pharmaceuticals and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Pharmaceuticals Europe. Prior to working with GlaxoSmithKline, she has served at Ford Motor Company where she was instrumental in different positions such as HR Supervisor Sales & Marketing- Central Europe and the UK, HR Supervisor Dagenham Assembly Plant, and OD Manager- European Engineering.
