Stefan Ries acts as the Labor Relations Director and Chief Human Resources Officer with SAP. He has been serving the Executive Board member at SAP SE where he has the overall human resources responsibility since April 2016. He started working with the company in the year 2002. Earlier he used to work in different positions with the company like Egon Zehnder International consultant and High Technologies/Information Technologies Practice Group member.
Prior to working with SAP, Ries used to work with Microsoft as the Human Resources Manager and was instrumental for development and implementation of best practices of human resources in Switzerland, Austria, and the East European countries. Later on, he handled the position of Human Resources Manager for Munich-based Compaq Computer which successfully made acquisitions of different companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation and Tandem Computers.
