Madonna Bolano has been Human Resources function leader in Applied Materials from February 2014. Before this role, she was the HR head for Silicon Systems Group (SSG), Applied Material’s largest business division. Madonna, with her team, lend entire strategic and people practices support to the organization to attract, develop and retain industry-leading talent and provide an environment of competence and incentivized performance to maximize the value the employees create for Applied Materials. Madonna has also teamed up with the company’s management to successfully integrate and close mergers and acquisitions, help in business reorganization, enhance employee engagement and create and staff new business units.
Before becoming a member of the SSG in 2009, Madonna was the HR leader for Display and SunFab Solar group. She re-joined Applied Materials in 2009 from Sun Power Corporation, where her job included supporting the worldwide Operation Organization and leading the HR operations function. She has held leadership roles in HR for 15 years before Sun Power, and has been named among Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology" by the National Diversity Council, and was also named as a “Woman Worth Watching” by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
