Arturo Gonzalo is the People and Organization- Corporate Director and the Corporate Executive Committee member since March 2016. He is also a UNICEF Spanish Committee member and Fundación Repsol Trust member. He has various national and international publications to his credits and is involved in teaching sessions at Institute for Energy Studies (ISE in Spanish) in Madrid as well as other reputed institutions. He is a Doctor (cum laude) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the specialization in Chemical Sciences. Moreover, he got elected in 2010 as the Spanish Energy Club- Vice-chairman and the World Energy Council- the Spanish Committee Chairman and in 2014 as the BIAC Investment Committee (Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD)- Vice-chairman.

Prior to working with Repsol, Gonzalo used to work with Environment Agency for the Community of Madrid as the Director, the Prevention of Pollution and Climate Change department at the Spanish Ministry for the Environment as the Secretary General, the Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving (IDAE in Spanish) as a member, and the Inter-Ministerial Commission for Science and Technology as a member.
