Marc Reed Verizon’s EVP and the Chief of Administration. At Verizon, he is responsible for the management and accountability of the complete, end-to-end HR, Real Estate, Supply Chain Services, Procurement and Fleet. He is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the most efficient and effective leverage of the company’s total assets and resources.
Marc is a part of the Verizon Operations Council as well as the Verizon Corporate Council. Marc is also on its Human Resources Policy Association Board. He has led the company to gain many awards and citations, being ranked on top in Diversity Inc. magazine’s “Top 50 Companies for Diversity”, besides Bloomberg’s “Best Places to Launch A Career” and the prestigious CEO Magazine’s “Top 20 Companies for Leaders”.
Between 20001 and 2014, Marc was EVP, HR at Verizon. Here he created the overall policies and strategies concerning compensation, labor, staffing, benefits, diversity, safety and ethics.
Between 2000 and 2004, Reed was the VP of HR at Verizon Wireless. Here, he established a performance-oriented culture which in turn, helped propel Verizon to a leadership position as the best wireless company in the US.
Marc’s career began in 1986 in Human Resources at GTE’s global headquarters. The next year onwards and consecutively, he was handpicked for a series of crucial HR positions at GTE Wireless.
