Michael Murray joined Citigroup in 1996. Since then, he has served in several functions across Citigroup’s HR departments. His recent designation is as the Head of Compensation and Benefits, alongside Talent Acquisition. He donned the mantle of the Human Resources Head of Citi in July 2014.
At the time of the global financial crisis and after that, Michael was instrumental in the redesign of Citi’s compensation and benefits administration practices, aligned to the new scenario of high government monitoring, which is still prevalent. He has also played a critical role in improving the systems and processes of the entire Human Resources Departments of Citi across the world. His HR Transformation practices focus on organization structure and include site-specific strategy as well. Michael has also been a Senior HR officer at Citi in Alternative Investments, Benefits Administration and executive developments and the director of Finance and M&A as well.
