A pioneer in the airline industry, Elise Eberwein has piloted human resources, media relations, employee communications, social media, and public affairs at American Airlines for three decades. Eberwein combined her two passions airlines and communication to lead with zest. In 2012 she was awarded Volunteer Executive of the Year title by the Phoenix Business Journal for US Airway community service and was named as a Woman Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal in 2010. In 2015 Eberwein was named one of the Premier Traveler’s 20 Most Compelling Women in Travel. 

She has stewarded efforts to make the work culture a competitive advantage with an emphasis on creating an environment that cares for frontline team members directly serving customers of the airline. She also serves on the nonprofit boards of the Arthur W Page Society and the Wings Club. She has a BA in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University and an MBA from Colorado State University.
